Personal Statement

During our Spring break Lucia and Allistar met up in Antigua, Guatemala. From the start our plans started shifting with our meeting point having closed-down. We had a plan B, but it too became null when I arrived into Antigua two hours later and missed our meeting time. Fortunately I saw this girl with a bright yellow bag and 'GREEN SHOES' and I knew it was Lucia. This was the start of the adventure and series of unexpected, yet exciting events. We had the pleasure of taking many photos at the local market and all our stops. At one time we had to double back six hours to Guatemala City to sort out Lucia's VISA challenges. Her situation became further complicated, thanks to the visit of El Presidente - George Bush, which caused Guatemala City roads and Belize Embassy closures.

Finally, after many hours of buses, vans, taxis and boats, and sleeping at the Guatemala and Belize border, we reached to our paradise destination of Caye Caulker, Belize. There we endulged in the sun, surf, food and deep waters of the sea.
